1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and that all activity within the app is between consenting adults.
2. What Keyholder Is
Keyholder is a relationship-management tool for consensual power-exchange dynamics between two adults: chores, points, rewards, a shared calendar, and manual device-care status tracking. It has no hardware integration and does not control any physical device. Everything in the app reflects agreements the two of you make with each other — the app itself doesn't enforce, judge, or moderate the terms of your relationship.
3. Safety Comes First
The Emergency Stop feature is always available to either partner, requires no approval, and cannot be disabled, restricted, or gated by the other partner, by points, or by any in-app rule. If you ever need to stop or need medical attention, use it and seek help — the app will never stand in the way of that.
4. Your Account
Keep your password and PIN confidential. You're responsible for activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us.
5. Acceptable Use
Don't use Keyholder to harass, threaten, or coerce anyone, or in any way that isn't between two genuinely consenting adults. Don't attempt to interfere with the app's security, scrape data, or access another user's account.
6. Content You Submit
Photos submitted as chore proof, chore/reward text, and feedback messages are yours — you're responsible for what you upload. Don't upload anything illegal or anything depicting a minor.
7. Subscriptions
Premium features, where offered, are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase systems and are subject to their respective billing and refund policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings.
8. Ending Your Account or Relationship
Either partner can unlink from the other at any time, for any reason — this is a relationship tool, not something either person should ever feel trapped inside. You can request full account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy).
9. No Warranty
Keyholder is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
10. Changes to These Terms
If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
